But, I do note that there's actually quite a lot of similarity with the "real" Lego Friends set "Olivia's Inventor's Workshop" http://friends.lego.com/en-us/Products/Details/3933.aspx, apart from the apparently--mandatory pink/purple/pastel color scheme. (The scale and detail of the Ladyada set is great, but would hit a higher price point, making it less accessible to many children.) This is awesome in so many ways.
