    Gay

    ;)

    • Antinous / Moderator

      LEAVE JUSTIN BIEBER ALONE!

  • A. .

I liked the part where the gibbon was awesome

  • tw1515tw

and when will Dawn Porter cut her blooming fringe?

  • http://www.facebook.com/genti.gl Gentjan Lici

    hahahaha great

  • Eddie Perkins

This is awesome, but sadly, exactly what trolls want, acknowledgement of their existence, any kind of attention. They’re a pretty sad bunch of people.

  • ocker3

How to humiliate any hate-spewing masturbating gibbon. Just repeat their words. They’ll froth! (and not in a good way).

  • JProffitt71

Wow, just wow. I love this, it feels like a weight lifted off my back.

  • jimh

So this is sarcasm, right? Because some of those comments are really hurtful.

    • tw1515tw

You mean some troll-like comments after a video that’s sarcastic towards trolls, on a site like BoingBoing? Now I’m unsure if your question was asked in a sarcastic way. This is some sort of knowing-sarcastic-space-time-continuum spiral.

      • jimh

Yeah, that’s what I was trying to create.
        An infinite WTF SARCASM? loop.

        • Jonathan Roberts

But what if that comment was sarcastic and jimh was really offended? (Head explodes)

    • Warren_Terra

I suspect the people shown in webcam-style shots responding to hateful comments they’ve received are responding to actual hateful comments they actually received. Certainly the one Richard Herring reads out is of a piece with the sort of stuff he was bombarded with after he dared to criticize Ricky Gervais

      • euansmith

        …and he had a Hitler moustache too… I’m just saying… no smoke without fire…

  • http://www.jjsaul.com Jim Saul

Just to pick the scab, I had to check the comments on youtube:

Who cares, trolling is for the people, it’s not some bullshit school of thought. But please, to those watching, do me the favor and make it legit, make my dreams come true.

I will fuck off when I’m good and ready to fuck off, you bossy bitch.
TheLifePerfect in reply to NimmoPie (Show the comment) 8 minutes ago

why does everyone thing trolling is a bunch of incomprehensable homophobic/racial/sexist slurs? trolling is where you come back (using intelligence) at those idiots who do this and unsuspecting people
    krossdude35 8 minutes ago”

Oh what a brave new world it is, that has such people in it.

    • toyg

People like this have always existed. Before the internet, they’d just be called “assholes”.

      • http://www.jjsaul.com Jim Saul

They still are. But before the internet, they were not ubiquitous.

What was the name of the guy in the cell next to Hannibal Lector in the Silence of the Lambs? That’s what youtube comments sound like.

Then when you see what these people are in real life, they’re so fragile themselves they seem one harsh comment away from making a noose out of their power cord.

The constant rape threats are the worst. I can’t imagine what the effect of that unending bombardment is on someone who feels physically vulnerable.

      • http://twitter.com/VisceralVixen Visceral Vixen

Sigh. ‘Tis true. Except before the internet they had to go to all the humongous effort of yelling from the windows of moving vehicles.
I daresay the internet means they no longer have to leave their parents’ house in order to try to inflict their unpleasantness on the world, so in a sense it has made it easier.

    • euansmith

       Gammas, the lot of them…

  • Gutierrez

Looking at the comments on YouTube at what point is trolling so meta it’s performance art?

    • miasm

‘pissing in an ocean of piss’, is, I believe, the proper label.

      • euansmith

At this point it is time to wheel out the big guns and turn the scatological metaphor all the way to number two.

  • snagglepuss

…I wonder if Isabel Fay also likes to throw a pound of raw hamburger into a pack of hungry dogs ?

Because this video would be pretty much the equivalent bait for trolls.

    • RadioSilence

Well if it keeps even just a few from commenting elsewhere on youtube it will have done a good job, in my eyes.

    • http://vincenzoravina.tumblr.com/ Vincenzo Ravina

Whatever gets views, I guess. Are you gonna do the hungry dogs thing as a video or can I do that?

      • snagglepuss

         Help yerself.

  • HahTse

    This…

    This…

    This is really good ^^

    Thanks Mark!

I really hope this won’t become an earworm…

  • humanresource

    [masturbates furiously]

    • euansmith

       Bad gibbon! Naught gibbon!

  • Palomino

It’s hard for me to imagine that someone would purposefully be  on the internet just to harass someone. But I can see them now, lining up their diet soda, pepperoni sticks and salty chips, and settling in for a long night of hateful insults. It happened to me on Reddit a couple  times. The moment one of my photos posted, there was a nasty “I hope you die  you dumb fuck” response. It was then that it dawned on me the term Troll didn’t mean a monster under a bridge, but a vile human who “trolls” for tear- filled responses. It takes a psychotic  frame of mind, and I wonder what it’s a gateway from or to.

  • Evil Paul

Best thing since “Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury”

    • ocker3

I would argue it comes close, but doesn’t Quite surpass it (perhaps influenced by a lack of recent dating in my life *sigh*)

  • http://twitter.com/kramski Kramski

How dare she expose and humiliate the trolls who were trying to have an intimate rape threat moment with her etc etc.

  • Tetsubo Kanamono

I post daily videos on YouTube. Within the past two weeks I have received two daeth threats and a ‘LAZY PUSSY’ comment (I advocate the idea that people are more important than profits). I love this video.

  • cellocgw

Since nobody else is lowbrow enough to post it, here goes:  Wow, I didn’t see that last shot coming!
    (rim-shot (oops another double entendre))
