old rancher says “She treats her hands  like they belong to someone else”..

  • Jellodyne

I can do that with my thumb

    • bcsizemo

I can too.  I always thought it was one of those things like attached earlobes…some people can do it, some can’t.

      • blueelm

I think it is. My thumb is like that all the time.  All my fingers bend back pretty far, but my thumb is pretty much just always like that.

It makes it hard to text on an iphone.

Me too. In Sweden it’s called “shoemakers´s thumb”, and according to Wikipedia, it´s ”
“Hitchhiker’s thumb” in english. It’s not a medical condition, but a naturally occuring variation.

“You’ve got city hands, Mr Hooper. You’ve been countin’ money all yer life”
“Y’know I don’t need this. I don’t need this  ’working class hero’ crap!”

I got a blister from yard work on Saturday. It really hurts.

  • bcsizemo

Wood splinters hurt, but they are nothing compared to a metal splinter…OUCH.

Protective gloves are key in construction jobs, especially when handling caustic chemicals or welding.

Of course, soon we will be able to have awesome cyborg replacement hands; so these problems will be relegated to history.

    How about “Facebook Thumbs”?

These injuries and deformities are nothing, NOTHING, to the hideous pain suffered by the brilliant creative geniuses responsible for progress who are held back by regulations and so called “workplace safety rules” foisted on them by socialists, pirates, parasites and bureaucrats.
