Easter Island statues walked?

It's long been a mystery how the residents of Easter Island moved the iconic moai statues from the volcano quarry where they carved them to the statues' permanent locations up to 11 miles away. Now, archaeologists suggest that they many not have needed rollers, the basis of one common theory.
