    A Gubru:
    1. wouldn’t use old-fashioned Earther technology like a analog camera, they would be using Galactic-level imaging systems (unless it’s an anachronistic Gubru???)
    2. Gubru are all white (except for breeding castes)
    3. Hopefully, Gubru have not yet located our homeworld – otherwise, we may have a war on our hands.

      This Gubru is indeed all white. The dark patches in the pic are utility devices. The object in its hand is a multi-tool in a stun-weapon configuration.
      
      You are wrong about the film thing though… Galactics still use tech somewhat like our digital cameras and chemical film technology for certain scientific purposes, ritual religious reasons and for niche artistic reasons. Also….please understand that this is a drawing by a guy in the psych unit where I work.
      
      The patient, a University of Oregon professor, was admitted claiming to see a large homiform duck armed with a shotgun. What really made him nuts was that the Duck is the U of O’s mascot and the costume worn at games looks kinda like this if you’re stoned on sweet, sweet marijuana hopped beer like this prof was.
      
      The U.S. Olympic Trials are happening here and some people are really getting in the spirit.He said the thing made noises like Morris Code combined with parrot squawking combined with R2-D2 noises. He was adamant about his story and presented as an adrenalated panic. The psychiatrist in charge judged him delusional and his wife signed the papers for a 14 day commitment.
      
      I however, know that he saw a Gubru. I saw his drawing, read the notes and spoke with the guy, and he did see a Gubru. I’m not sure what this means, because Terragens are not supposed to meet these harpies for another two hundred years.
      
      Of course, maybe the appearance of this thing is no big deal, just some curious Gubru geek who would NOT want any of the Galactic Institutes to know about his nerdy little explorations. It also might be a petty, low level gene raider in which case, same thing, fly under the radar.
      
      I do think it’s really funny how the thing tried to speak Galactic-2 to the professor. Like he would know Galactic 2.
      
      Only young Gubru are tasty to Earth-Tribe – but they taste like veal.
      
      Adult Gubru are not very good to eat unless you boil them for a while to soften the meat – processed this way the adult Gubru meat is rather tasteless, but they do taste a lot like chicken McNuggets so I guess you’re right in that respect.
      
      I wouldn’t eat a Gubru because the taboo against in me canibalism is very strong and I seem to extend this to other sophonts, sentients and sapients.
