[heavy Hungarian accent] Screamin’ Jay Hawkins.  He’s my main man [/heavy Hungarian accent]  http://hcl.harvard.edu/hfa/images/films/2001marapr/strangerThanParadise.jpg

    HE. DOESN’T. BLINK.

    • zish

I was just coming over to say this very thing. I think that’s the best part. The creepiness factor goes to eleven.

Holy snapping duckshit, what a face.

      HE. DOESN’T. BLINK.

      What the FUCK

  • Mark Dow

Wow, a real professional. You don’t get eyebrow muscles like that from occasional karaoke.

    • Mark_Frauenfelder

He’s a clown for Cirque du Soleil, which figures! I love Cirque du Soleil.

  • zeppo

    That was really great.

  • zeppo

Nice take on The Cramps’ “Shortnin’ Bread,” too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMHDIyePuts&list=UUkajzg4ohgu5o_z4XiJAhhA&index=3&feature=plcp

  • oasisob1

  • john lardner

That was AWSOME ! I love Screamin’ Jay too . RIP . I took photos of him in concert in Ch Ch NZ ( That venue is gone now . Thanks Earthquake . Thanks a million . ) Sound track to my all time favorite film . Stranger than Paradise directed by Jim Jarmusch . Thanks a lot for that man .

  • Steve Miller

Amp the dementia — somebody play this guy some songs by Hasil Adkins!

  • Scooter Jackson

    ‘Kin ‘ell, that was grand!

  • gumbowing

Awesome! Not quite cross eyed with a bone through the nose and smoking skull on a walking stick awesome, but close.

    • pKp

Yeah, not enough bone in nose.

We finish almost every show we do with that song, with my singer channelling his inner Screamin’ Jay. It’s real impressive. He usually needs a lie-down after it, though.

shameless plug : here’s us doing a Tom Waits cover, with a nice growly feel :  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTeylrRBJ-8

  • Tim Nyberg

Good call – this guy is fab – watched as much as I could find… THANKS for the find!
