Juggling happy mutant conjurer Mat Ricardo is throwing his last "London Varieties" show of 2012. He writes:

What started as an odd little idea I wanted to try has, over the course of the last 6 months, become a bit of a bona-fide hit, and this jaded old circus monkey couldn't be happier! It's the last London Varieties of 2012, but we're going out with a bang! July 12th, at the Bethnal Green Working Mens Club, featuring...

* The undisputed heavyweight champion of chap-hop MR B THE GENTLEMAN RHYMER
* Scintillating tap dancing craziness from JOSEPHINE SHAKER
* Insane stunts from Canada with MIKE WOOD..
* From New York City, the astonishing and hilarious MAGIC BRIAN.

and.. in conversation live on stage, the godfather of alternative comedy ARTHUR SMITH

Plus all the usual surprises, special guests, rare archive footage and new material from your genial host!

Plus! We have the venue until 1am, so we're throwing an end of season party - stay and play with us after the show! It's going to be emotional! And it's already over half sold out, so get your tickets quick.

Mat Ricardo's Last London Varieties of 2012 (Thanks, Mat!)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Not to downplay the other incredible acts on that show, but Magic Brian (who is an old friend) is a wholly underrated talent that no one should miss given the chance.
