My old friends in the Afghan Whigs, reunited and on tour, have released their cover of Frank Ocean's "Lovecrimes." It's dark, gritty, and oozing with soul, just like the Whigs. Listen above and download free from their site. The Afghan Whigs

Great stuff. Have seen the Whigs a bunch of times as well as some of the side projects (Gutter Twins were especially excellent live) and picked up my tickets to the Boston show this morning.

Adding a new (cover) track to the mix just rounds out my day.

Can’t believe I missed the post about their re-unity. Good, good news.

Eh, not as good as the original.

This is fantastic. So glad they reunited. I kept Black Love on such heavy rotation that I’m surprised the disc didn’t melt.
