[Video Link] This must be seen to be believed. What's with his widdle platform he's standing on, the two discs? And how does he hang on wif him widdle paws? Your theories in the comments. (thanks, herpus derpus)

Hackers prepare for first "national holiday" in their honor

  • bzishi

    A cat’s chariot.

It is a pity that the cat doesn’t have sunglasses.

  • Bizket Jones

It looks like the guy is using cd’s as reflectors in the wheels and on the back of the bike. I think I would have a harder time getting either of my cats to wear a hat than to stand on that thing.

    • http://profiles.google.com/darkfire79 Michael Birch

I think its front paws are bound down… it looks like it’s trying to chew loose towards the end, but I could be mistaken. :(

      • retepslluerb

Looks totally like the front legs are bound down.

        • http://halfbakedmaker.org Robert Baruch

No, my cats sometimes hook their arms around things like that.

    • kiptw

The way the cat moves its head seems to me like it’s not 100% sold on the whole ‘hat’ thing.

  • Jake0748

    Best thing I’ve seen today.

  • http://dafydd.livejournal.com/ dafydd

I’m going to guess that all the CD/DVDs are cheap reflectors for after dark.

  • DrGlam

Her widdle hat.  Cats with that coat pattern are nearly all female, as the black/yellow coat gene is on the X chromosome; each black or yellow spot is a marker for which X chromosome was inactivated in that clonal patch of epidermis.

    That pedantically said, OMG adorable!

  • Antinous / Moderator

I feel that this would benefit from the addition of an accordion soundtrack.

    • https://launchpad.net/~googoleyes koanhead

It would certainly be better than the noise of those amazingly loud scooters.

  • Donald Petersen

Cat.  Hat.  In French, chat chapeau.  In Spanish, he’s el gato in a sombrero.

    • Antinous / Moderator

In this case, it appears that we need the Taiwanese equivalent.

      • tubacat

I wondered if that was Taiwan – I just got back from my first visit there, and couldn’t believe the number of mopeds there are on the streets – but I never saw a māo in a màozi …

    • freejack t.

Thanks, now that song’s stuck in my head.

    • sarahnocal

and a bunka in a bunkakwunk in Eskimo

    • Godfree

Holy cow, I’m not the only one who remembers that song?!

      • Donald Petersen

I have preschool-age kids… but honestly, that bit of the song has been stuck in my head since ~1978.

    • http://devojane.blogspot.com devophill

In lousy movies, translations are BS. Now you know.

    • http://halfbakedmaker.org Robert Baruch

So that’s where chateaus come from.

      • Sparg

         Cathouse, eh?  Sweet!

  • http://noctilucent-studios.blogspot.com/ Noctilucent Studios

    Ok, so that just happened.

  • Culturedropout

This is a video of a cat wearing a hat riding on a bicycle.  Your argument is invalid.

  • michaelismichael

Wow, flashbacks. I used to live in Taiwan….you see some strange things there. I’ve seen a family of 5 or 6 all on one scooter…

Is it just me or were its paws attached to that bar??

    • http://halfbakedmaker.org Robert Baruch

No, doesn’t look like it to me. Her paws are wrapped around the bar in a way that looks awkward, but not for cats. And she lifts her left paw completely to lick it near the end of the video.

The chapeau, on the other hand, is probably tied to the cat. Poor chapeau!

The Intenet is over. Go home.

Oh wait! The Yube Tubes recommended this & I am astonished:

    • harold miller

Don’t you mean MC Skat Kat?

        DJ Retchid Kat

  • nanner

reminds me of the guy in NYC who walks around wearing his cat as a chapeau…

Where was that? Reminds me of Puss in Boots.

  • rattypilgrim

Just think the cat should have some kind of protection should the bike get knocked bumped or…? This is an accident waiting to happen like dogs untethered in the back of pick ups

  • http://www.facebook.com/moosestudiospottery Moose Gueydan

I took the liberty to examine your cat, and discovered the only reason he was on his perch was he had been NAILED there…

    • Lurking_Grue

Well, o’course it was nailed there! If he hadn’t nailed that cat down, it would have nuzzled up to those bars, bent ‘em apart with its teeth, and VOOM!

  • baronkarza

I used to have a cat that would sit across my shoulders and lean against the back of my head as I rode my bike around the apartment complex. He would wait for me to get home and ride across the lot with me to get the mail and up to the apartment (jumping off on the stairs), but I would never ever take him into traffic on a road!

  • http://psychology-schools.com/ Andrew Voznyak

It is cruel, the cat is actually tied the front legs

  • dtakt

Yes, fuck that shit. Cute and all (like a pig before it enters the slaughterhouse), but the cat is clearly tied to the handle and that is just pure cruelty. BB can do better than this.

    • http://halfbakedmaker.org Robert Baruch

You can tell because of the pixels, right?

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/ETJ6YHG5JLQ4QO3JXBLTMYA2DQ Percy Grainger

Cat in hat does not look happy.

  • TheMudshark

He haz widdle claws in him widdle paws.

Also, there seems to be some kind of small bar it´s leaning on. I don´t know about it being tied down. Near the end of the video it seems to be picking up one paw and licking it.

  • IronEdithKidd

The most astonishing thing about this video is that the bicyclist stopped for the red light.

  • timquinn

That cat is not unhappy. If her paws are tied it is something she is used to. The switching tail says ” your motorcycle is too loud, go away.” Otherwise, the cat is having a fine time.

  • GregS

My friends, the Internet is now complete.

  • http://disqus.com/Kimmoth/ Kimmo

Why the hell does cat and hat rhyme in so many languages?!

  • Adam Pearce

unsure about the tie down — but the cat seemed irritated rather than alarmed — irritated as in: come on! why are we stopped?
