Sounds like a dangerous game, possibly the most dangerous…

    • Brainspore

I always wondered what Ice-T would look like in a houndstooth jacket and bowler hat.

  • http://2012diaries.blogspot.com/ tristan eldritch

Perhaps its sequel should be called “Don’t Be Impertinent, I’m Perfectly Capable of Ascertaining for Myself Whether or Not I’M Being….AAAARRGH!

  • splashu

    Is -punk the new -core?

    • http://2012diaries.blogspot.com/ tristan eldritch

Seems to be.  I want to resurrect the specter of the teddy boy – imagine how different the world would be today, post cyber-teddy boy?

      • http://2012diaries.blogspot.com/ tristan eldritch

Cyber-teddy boys – diligently combing their nano-quiffs, dreaming of outlaw continuums where Gene Vincent and Ziggy Stardust collapse into a single particle-wave duality….

    • Brainspore

I’m into “Corepunk” now. I’d tell you more about it but we’re really trying to keep it from going mainstream.

      • Felton / Moderator

I’m more into “punkcore,” because it’s marginally less mainstream this month than “corepunk.”

        • Warren_Terra

You are both overlooking the tremendous possibilities inherent in the niche appeal of corecore.

          • Felton / Moderator

I’m curious about that, but are you sure it’s not just another shallow poseur subculture, like punkpunk?

          • http://lemoutan.blogspot.com/ Lemoutan

You two may need to take the ponkcure.

          • Donald Petersen

Felton, that got me to thinking about the possibilities of a corecore/Def Leppard mashup entitled “Punk! Punk! (Till You’re Drunk)” but then I realized we’re already way out where the buses don’t run.

  • http://evilbobdayjob.blogspot.com/ Deidzoeb

What would be the name of the subculture or genre of people intent on destroying all further use of the suffix “-punk” to describe new genres of art or music or dress, especially those that have nothing to do with the musical or stylistic category of punk? And what do I wear to indicate I’m in it?

Get Off My Fucking Lawnistas? And a hat like the demon skull on the cover of that Danzig album. I don’t know why, but that seems to communicate the hostility I’m going for. What do you think, Mother?

So basically Galaxy Express 999 the video game.

Great string quartet! Is it Bartok?

From the YT description, it’s this:

    Was Redneck Rampage “Flannelpunk?” http://youtu.be/caOPx-VRbFU

  • Boundegar

    That’s a hell of a spoiler for Minecraft 5.1.

  • PaulDavisTheFirst

so much more win if it was “You, Sir, Are Being Hunted”

    • winkybb

      I thought the same thing.

    • Warren_Terra

I think it depends on the speaker. If it’s, say, a butler or valet saying the line, my limited experience with Edwardian-themed popular fiction would suggest that “Sir, You Are Being Hunted” is correct. If it’s a gentleman addressing you, probably with contempt, your reformulation of the line as “You, Sir, Are Being Hunted” is probably more fitting.
