Every boxing film after <i>Raging Bull</i> ripped it’s style from <i>Raging Bull</i>.  Ditto with every criminal drama set in 19th century NYC; a nod to <i>Gangs of New York</i> must be made.  Doubt <i>Coppers</i> would have ever gotten to production otherwise.
