Rolling Stone reports that the band DEVO "are set to release a track later this month entitled "Don't Roof Rack Me, Bro! (Remember Seamus)." It is inspired by Mitt Romney's notorious road trip from Massachusetts to Ontario, during which he transported the family dog, Seamus, in a kennel strapped to the roof of his station wagon." Any bets on how long its on Youtube before yanked for “Copyright Infringement”?
I am waiting for Romney to add Charles Carreon on his legal staff to stop people from quoting Romney or bringing up things Romney has done. If you mention that Romney was once governor of Massachusetts they will sue you and your mother (for littering of course).

Are you serious suggesting that Romney would be willing to give a person a ride on top of his car?

Lazy slacker should earn his own car, or walk.

      • Richard Lack

It’s reasonable to suggest that being cruel and thoughtless to a dog is a reasonable sign of atrocious character.  And no, he wouldn’t tie a person on his roof rack– he’d get caught.  But good character is all about what you do when you can’t get caught, isn’t it.  Anyway correlations between treating animals poorly and treating humans poorly is well documented in many studies.  Google it if you’re interested in actually learning.

I hope they lay down some tasty beats that I can really sink my teeth into.

R&R should use it on their new tour: Hope and Chains.

Can they put Weird Al’s Dare to be Stupid on the b-side?

What on Earth will we do for entertainment once the 2012 campaign is over?

…Oh, wait, they’ll just start up the 2016 campaign right away.  No problem!

The opening track on Ry Cooder’s new, terrific, very political album “Election Special” (out on the 21st) is “Mutt Romney Blues,” dedicated to that very same poor ol’ hound dog.

Brave New Films has a video using part of the song in the soundtrack:

If you want to listen to the song, Orchard (the distributor of the track) has already posted it to SoundCloud: Devo – Don’t Roof Rack Me, Bro!

  • leftiejoe

Im getting worried now because it’s pretty clear that we don’t have anything good against Romney. Is this really the best we can do? Isn’t the fact that he’s a capitalist a better talking point?

  • http://twitter.com/peterswimm Peter Swimm

Man I hope Devo doesn’t end up like the Capitol Steps.

  • Cowicide

No, Romney only terrified his pet dog until it shat itself, then hosed the cowering animal down, then continued to terrorize the wet, shivering, howling animal with raging, 60MPH wind atop his doggy-torture-carousel-prison-complex.  The dog probably would’ve tasted like delicious veal after that kind of abuse, though.
