Today, Gawker (specifically, John Cook) publishes a Wikileaks-style data dump: The Bain Files: Inside Mitt Romney's Tax-Dodging Cayman Schemes. As Dylan Byers at Politico points out, not all of the info is new and "will require a great deal of vetting, but early signs indicate that there are some new, and potentially controversial, details -- starting with that bit at the end about a retirement package investment that was made almost a decade after Romney retired." BusinessInsider is not impressed.

    I find it interesting that people are battling back and forth about the details of Romney’s business investments and actions, etc.

    To me, it’s like arguing over whether Romney owns 5 or 6 expensive houses. That he owns more than one expensive house, that he makes more money than god, that his own candid and even scripted statements show him to be out of touch with the 99%, are all I need to know not to vote for him.

    The rest is just campaign attack ad fodder.

    As a diehard Ron Paul fan, I still hold a tiny sliver of hope that this asshole is going to be found to be a felon and invalidated from the nomination in, say, the next two days.
