[Video Link] In July I posted a link to songstress Dominique Pruitt's "To Win Your Love." As I said, her work has a great 50s and 60s vibe. Here's a video for her song, "To Win Your Love," which will be on her upcoming album. I'm looking forward to hearing the other songs!

“What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?”

Could easily be applied to borderline stalker songs.  I was just thinking about making a mix of songs that are really creepy, but we don’t think so because they’re so catchy.  This one definitely qualifies.

That video and the Buddy Holly “Everyday” cover that youtube popped up next makes me look forward to the album. Maybe I can get my daughter to listen to this instead of the latest Disney star autotuned crap.

If you don’t like the music that your daughter plays, tell her how much you love it and start dad-dancing to it.

It is definitely interesting when you see your ex-coworker’s wife-her-in her own music video…I still see them every once in a while in the LA area at random spots…huh, small world…Anyways…Congrats Dominique, that is awesome! Keep up the good work!
