Obviously anything he would write about this movie can't be regarded as objective film criticism. But don't you want to read it anyway?

While I'm on the subject: I write music reviews. I've written hundreds of them, over the last 14 years. I think that objectivity is crap. You're paid to be personal and subjective, and what other reaction does one have to art but a personal one?
I think "This movie is based on my autobiography, and here's what I think of it." is a perfectly fine first sentence for a review. Even better would be if he hated it. And actually wouldn't a movie based on Ebert's life that was awful be more interesting than one that was earnest and well crafted?

If Charlie Kaufman can write a movie that's about itself then surely Roger Ebert can have a movie that reviews itself.

Here's how he handled a "review" of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, for which he wrote the screenplay: http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/19700101/REVIEWS/708110301/1023

James also did The Interrupters. This sounds awesome, and it would be a fitting tribute Ebert.
