After this weekend, we'll see just how far Endeavour gets in LA traffic with no turn signal! Oh, wait...

I still have my copy! It was great to think that had I managed to stow away and some inflight emergency (tainted Tang?) had felled the crew, I could limp the old bird home myself.
A few years later I began to realize that I may have oversimplified the concept in my head. But to this day, I can still run the orbiter's crapper, I bet.

Gorgeous, wonderful machines. Beautiful images, but heartbreaking, knowing they will never again carry out their intended purpose of soaring through the heavens, but will instead rest in bits and pieces to be poked at by sweaty tourists. :-(

Looking at this , I am amazed that no shuttle accidents were caused by human error. Has anyone counted the number of switches and buttons? It just boggles the mind.

Today I accidentally put both feet on the brake as I was going for the clutch. The right stuff: I ain't got it.

Beautiful. The only thing that would make it better would be if the digital images were interactive, allowing you to hover over the flight deck's screens and buttons to learn what they each were.

Kind of a bad advertisement for Yahoo! that the only thing you can see is an error message with their branding all over it, instead of the site they're presumably supposed to be hosting.
