On Buzzfeed, a collection of Hallowe'en costumes that integrate wheelchairs, for adults and kids, ganked from a wide variety of sources. I really like this ice-cream wagon costume, and I wish it was clearer who had originated it for proper credit. Do you know? Add a comment, please!

20 Creative Costume Ideas For People In Wheelchairs (Thanks, Fipi Lele!)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

That picture is tear-worthy poignant. I went ahead and shed one

Credit to Buster’s mom & dad — and I’d like a drumstick please.

Needs Tavros from Homestuck. uH, NOT THAT THESE ARE BAD, iNFACT, THEY ARE, ACTUALLY, REALLY GOOD }:-)

I had a friend in grade school — whip smart, but a pretty debilitating case of cerebal palsey — his Mom and Dad made him a monsterous 5′ tall “2-XL” robot (that 8-track quiz machine thing from the late 1970s) atop his motorized wheel chair.  It was epic.

    what no davros.
my first thought when i heard wheelshair and costume was davros, second was professor xavier neither of which were on the list.

Wow! They are all absolutely fabulous, I can’t pick which one I like best! Every picture was “I like this best!” until I saw the next one. The kids in their dress-ups are in themselves already great, but then combined with the wheelchair dress-up and I get hit with a massive “It’s amazing!” crit!

So hard to pick, but I think the ice cream man takes the prize, costume-wise, with Pebbles and Bam-Bam a close second.  If I saw any of these people in costume I don’t think I’d be able to stop high-fiving them.  but the award for cutest motherfucker of all time has got to be pic related
