If by "everyone," you mean, "people who loved Community, but who can somehow forgive Sony/NBC for firing Dan Harmon." Also known as, "almost no one." "Enthusiasm" has its limits. You know nothing, ~~Jon Snow~~ Jamie Frevele.

They’re not holding them back to promote these shows better, they’re holding them back to promote existing shows better. I don’t see where in the statement it says NBC thinks anything good about Community, except that they might use it to replace existing early week shows that don’t make it.

First it looked like NBC was going to Arrest the Development of the ratings for Community by moving it to Friday. Now there is a Chang that it will find a better slot. I’ll wait and see what effect this has on the timeline (but will still take NBCs statement with a grain of salt).

Now there’ll be more room for all those other quality NBC shows. Wait, there are no quality NBC shows. Ok, 30 Rock is not bad, but it’s the last season, so they’ll just phone it in. Why doesn’t NBC just announce, “OK, we got nothing, we’re just skipping this season completely. We’re just gonna re-run Law & Order, which is what everyone wanted anyway.”

Even though it’s bad news that fans have to wait, it’s good news in that NBC is clearly expecting to cancel one or more of their new fall sitcoms and needs to have a replacement on deck. Animal Practice and Guys With Kids are not getting very good ratings, and a Wednesday 8:00 or 8:30 slot would be a lot better for Community than the Friday Night Death Slot it was planned for.
