"David Rose," a deaf paraplegic blogger who inspired thousands with inspirational inspiring quips on Twitter, was a hoax. HuffPo has it all. Notably, some of the sleuthing was done by theCHIVE, a site, uh, not known for investigative reporting.

theChive didn’t do anything apart from saying they were suspicious after Kristi-Anne Beil @kristi_anneb had finished her investigation, exposed the guy and told the chive everything. Can you please make sure credit is given to the right person. Thank you http://dave-on-wheels-exposed.blogspot.ca/ @kristi_anneb:twitter

Somebody on the internet lied about their identity

So, outing someone with cerebral palsy who claimed to be a deaf paraplegic with cerebral palsy.

Is this more, or less, sleazy than outing Violentacrez, a pervert who claimed to be a pervert?

Ah, moral relativity. I don’t understand it at all.
