I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). You can play against AI without loging in.

I tried it, and it plays like dominoes. If you were to remove the random text describing the nature of information associated with the piece you are playing, it becomes a simple game in which you play a rectangle with three numbers on it, where each number has a color. By matching the colors you earn score equal to the sum of the numbers. That’s it. I left it feeling confused whether this was really it, or whether there was some other motivation behind the game (perhaps see how many people log in through Facebook to play it?)…

I refuse to use any online service like facebook that delves into my surfing habits and so forth. If I have to download a program for an application, they can forget about it. I was assaulted by a full page survey yesterday when I was navigating away from boingboing and I just kept navigating. People who I wast to know my habits already know my habits. I admit that I didn’t play the game. Those things can also be trojans.
