On Retronaut, Arthur Pollock's 1984 photo, "Delivering a dinosaur to the Boston Museum of Science." Pollock has a book, too.
Delivering a dinosaur to the Boston Museum of Science
It’s like an atheist’s rejoinder to Fellini’s “La Dolce Vita”….
Clicked link from twitter hoping this was photo proof of the assertations made in “Live Pterosaurs in America”. Was disappointed.
For the book:
whoa, wonder who / what is on the end of that tag line… and did the chopper follow streets and have some guys running / driving along behind it?
Here’s a better, non-cropped version of the photo: http://www.bostonherald.com/galleries/?gallery_id=5925&p=1 Doesn’t quite show what’s going on, but looks like they’re lifting it over the Mass Ave bridge….
that allosaur must be petrified!
Boston? Quick, call the police!
10 seconds later it was photoshopped to “flying dinosaur”
I get Southbound Pachyderm in my head when I see that picture.
This was before the development of the technology that we now take for granted, by which we make a dinosaur grow to 10 times its original size just by placing it in a glass of water.
I am totally glad that I had no liquids in my mouth when I read that.
