Every time I see his name, I think it’s about Paul Weller.  Every single time.

Eaton Rifles!  Eaton Rifles!  Wait… what?

  • bazzargh

What is this drumming all the way through the clip….aaagh. Does the director say “I’d like it to sound like you’ve forgotten to turn off your ipod as you try to listen to what people are saying”

1987 is vintage?   Sigh.  I’m old.

    • wysinwyg

Yeah, 70′s stuff was vintage in the 90′s so I guess we’re old now.  I never thought it would happen to me!

Yeah it feels like they are re-making films which are brand new, Total Recall for example.

I JUST re-watched this last week! Love this movie. Its interesting to hear Weller talk about a fairy tale aspect of the movie. I never thought that. I bet he was a sport to work with.

I re-watched recently as well, and it holds up great. IMHO, much better than Total Recall.

Aside for the “AAARRRRGGG”s of Arny, Total Recall still looks great too thanks to the amazing miniatures and prosthetics.

And the new brutalist architecture is awesome.

      • Petzl

You may remove the IMHO.  Total Recall (1990) isn’t even in the same ballpark with Robocop. Nor in the same galactic cluster as said ballpark.
