Walter Ungerer's experimental short film "Meet Me, Jesus" (1966)

Meet Me, Jesus is a strange 1966 experimental film by Walter Ungerer. It is Ungerer's first narrative short, following his 1965 documentary The Tasmanian Devil, about drag racing. (via toys and techniques)

from what I understand, he made ‘Meet Me Jesus’ after being influenced by Stan Vanderbeek’s ‘Breath Death’.   At the time he completed ‘Meet Me Jesus’ he was assisting Vanderbeek with his Columbia University animation course.
