    I like to imagine that the standard for gentlemanly behaviour is perhaps a bit higher than merely being nice to people with whom you are already friends.

    The victim’s refusal to identify a suspect that the police already know is the victim’s friend would leave the victim open to a charge of obstruction of justice, would it not?
