The equivalent of the dollar store in Japan sells plugs that go in either the headphone socket or the Apple data connector so you can dangle your giant cluster of decorated cell phone straps from your iPhone. For some peculiar reason Apple omitted the nubbin that most phones have for this purpose. I feel like this case would be best paired with at least a fist-sized jumble of sparkling multicolour LED gems and possibly the latest model of Tamagotchi.

I swear I read that story somewhere… it really is a chain, with scammers scamming the scammers. The people with the bot-nets are selling time on the bot-nets to resellers, who sell the computing time to spammers, who sell spam software to other people, who sell the spam service to people who then convince small business owners to give them money… every step of the way, people take a cut and scam the people below them. And most of the stuff being sold is a scam too!

I can’t imagine the case draws on the phones battery. To do so it would need to hijack the socket on the bottom, and it doesn’t look long enough to do that.

I can almost guarantee I can pick these up at a couple different places I know near me in Little Saigon/OC K-Town, and certainly under $5.

One of the shops with this sort of stuff has cases for my Nexus One, long after it’s out of date and even though few people had them in the first place. I bought one for $2 and while it promptly broke, it’s the thought that counts I guess.

I just got my first smart phone ever, and while it’s certainly got its advantages it also seems to have a relatively short battery life. With one of these glow cases I assume I’d have to keep the darned thing plugged in all the time.

Instead of a .001% rate of return, they get .000%. Oh, my. I’m pretty sure that the actual sending of the spam is filtered through so many layers of entrepreneurs that they wouldn’t know who to get mad at.
