My friend Steve Lodefink has recently been bitten by the "quadcopter" bug. Quadcopters are easy-to-fly remote control vehicles that have four propellors. You can buy a ready-to-fly quadcopter, complete with video camera, or you can built them from kits or from scratch (I met a guy who made a quadcopter body from cardboard!). Steve built the quadcopter above. Read his detailed build notes on his blog, Finkbuilt.
I've been enjoying the videos Steve's been taking with his quadcopter. He wears a pair of video goggles while he flies it, which gives the sensation of being inside the "cockpit" of the copter as it flies!
