Online learning company lynda.com is teaming up with The New York Public Library, so that people who use the NYPL's Science, Industry and Business Library will now have free access to lynda.com’s instructional training videos. This is lynda.com's first official entry into the public library space. More about the partnership here.

    What is the “first” here?  I’m aware of several public libraries that have been offering Lynda.com to their users – is the NYPL deal significally different?
