Teddy bears with terrifying human teeth

Mrs. McGettrick's Fuggler Emporium on Etsy specializes in adorable teddy bears... with creepy artificial human teeth. Some of them have little plastic weapons, but all of them share a disturbing "I have seen the void" gaze.

It's been said that I need a hobby. Here it is. The moral of this story? Be careful what you wish for. My house is filled with these creatures now, and my husband has a sadness about it all.   In poking about her Etsy shop, there are also some listings for some signed books — it appears that Mrs. McGettrick is the children’s author Louise Arnold:
  “…I know the author. Rather well. Rumour has it that it’s not the greatest time to be a children’s author, and she’s had to resort to arts and crafts in order to keep her cat in the lifestyle she has become accustomed to.” 

  Her first book was published after she won a BBC News contest searching for “the next J.K. Rowling.” Her books seem to have been critical, if not commercial, successes so far.

    Well, “cute monsters in desperate need of dentistry” is hardly uncommon in general.  However the use of (faux) human teeth and eyeballs really make these teddies special… and I’m looking forward to mine arriving the mail!
