Nice to see some of the dancers from the gymnasium scene in Monster-a-Go-Go found additional work.

I wonder how these guys feel about these guys:
THE RATTLES – Canada’s Most Authentic Tribute to THE BEATLES!

Oh, so this who The Rutles parody!

    • Felton / Moderator

Yeah, I always assumed they were a parody of The Knickerbockers.

That’s a great song, I heard it 1st on one of those Nuggets Box sets from Rhino.

So help me, I thought this was gonna turn out to be somebody’s viral video for their parody film.

According to their Wikipedia article, they actually played with the Beatles in Hamburg a few times before the latter became famous, so their sound is maybe not strictly imitative. There but for fortune, eh?

  • Beanolini

Personally, I would rather listen to Rattles’ “The Witch“, than any of the other bands involved in the Hamburg scene of the early 60s.

They just sound like of a lot of the Bands founded around 1959-1962 here in Hamburg… So I think, speaking about simple imitation is a bit oversimplyfying.
