Killer elephant sought

Gopal Sharma: "Soldiers in Nepal are on the hunt for a wild elephant after it strayed into villages in the southern part of the Himalayan nation and killed four people in three months, officials said on Monday." [Telegraph]

  1. There are 200+ wild elephants in Nepal, and 100 in domestic use.  How are they hoping to eliminate the right elephant — declare one guilty by the smirk on it’s lips?  Will the soldiers each be carrying a copy of the elephant’s mug shot, clearly identifying that particular elephant, before killing it on sight?

  2. Sorry, I’m on the elephant’s side here. They’ve got a lot of vengeance due them after everything people have done to elephants.
