I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother).   The Unparalleled Adventure of One Hans Pfaall was his attempt to craft a relatively “realistic” – or at least somewhat internally consistent – trip to the moon using (mostly) the technology available at the time (i.e. a balloon filled with gaseous unobtanium). It is an interesting curiosity, if not particularly riveting.
