Why does she wanna give birth in open water, anyhow?

I have the opposite question: why WOULDN’T a WaveDancer want to give birth in the water?  They seem more connected to their environment than any of the other non-Wolfrider tribes.  Seems only natural for them to give birth in the water.  Which means my other question is why don’t they?

Well… open water is probably different than a tide pool- basically a protected area. There are a lot of critters living in the open sea.
