    The amount that went into learning that & transmitting the reminder/threat vs the amount to be recouped equals what? Sounds like another loss to me.

    They don’t ask the real Santa to pay taxes. For that matter, I don’t think he’s paid a cent in customs duties or acquired work visas in all the countries he delivers in. The reindeer-importing paperwork alone would probably take a dozen elves working full-time.
