From Brilliant Knitwit's Tumblr, an optical illusion TARDIS scarf, knitted as a gift. From the front, it just appears to be a striped scarf; at the right angle, the hidden TARDIS heaves into view.

Look at this scarf. Nothing here but stripes. Until you look at it from this angle…. (via Neatorama)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Maybe it’s just me but those look exactly the same. There’s sort of a vague, arguable maybe its a Tardis in both. Sort of like Jesus in a tortilla.

    Regretsy.

I see the Tardis. It’s a very nice design & I commend the knitter for their ingenuity.

    Hey guys—thanks for the post.
Credit where credit is due, chart for this was designed by Irina (see “Missing Police Box” on Ravelry.com).
And regrets, I have a few, but this sure as hell isn’t one of them: it was a Timey-Whimey Delayed Xmas gift for Dad, who loved it!
