Director Steven Soderbergh has a new sci/psy thriller out next week: Side Effects, starring Rooney Mara, Jude Law, Channing Tatum and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Psychiatrist Dr. Sasha Bardey served as medical consultant, along with CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta. The film examimes psychopharmacology and the use of mood altering drugs.
From a blurb shared with us by the publicist:
In the film, Jude Law and Catherine Zeta-Jones play leading psychiatrists who are attempting to nurture a depressed patient back to a normal, healthy and active life style. However, the results prove unpredictable and dangerous.Vulture did a wide-ranging interview with Soderbergh recently. In it, he mentions having a "stealth" Twitter account. That account has recently been outed (and confirmed) as Bitchuation. I interviewed Mr. Bitchuation for Wired many years ago.
