The acting criticism of Christopher Dorner

Here's a surreal aside from the "manifesto" of alleged spree-killer and former LAPD man Christopher Dorner. Dorner is currently the subject of a manhunt launched by his former colleagues, already remarkable for its own disregard for bystanders' lives.

Christopher Walz, you impressed me in Inglorious Basterds. After viewing Django Unchained, I was sold. I have come to the conclusion that you are well on your way to becoming one of the greats if not already and show glimpses of Daniel Day Lewis and Morgan Freeman-esque type qualities of greatness. Trust me when I say that you will be one of the greatest ever.

  I had the same problem with the Unabomber. What to do with someone who uses violence against others to call attention to things that deserve attention? Ignore them?

  If they manage to corner this loon and negotiate his surrender, I hope he asks for Christopher Walz to perform a one-man version of My Left Foot, with Walz playing Morgan Freeman channeling Daniel Day Lewis portraying Christy Brown.  

  On a related note, I wonder if the FBI has been in contact with Mr. Walz about this whole thing.

  Man, it’s a shame this guy went and performed atrocious acts of murder, because I find myself nodding my head at a lot of his little asides.

  I think labeling this as an aside purposely makes it sound like he was rambling — but if people could get past the short-attention-span, tl;dr mentality, I think they would beg to differ.  I am horrified and saddened that he was driven to kill but reading this — essentially a suicide note, explaining (in a clear, articulate way) his frustration with the warped dysfunction of the LAPD, saying final, fond farewells to friends, and then some random things that, his life being essentially over, he’d never get to say — about everything from politicans, to movies, to social commentary. I have to say, before reading this, I figured him for just another violent killer. Now, his story feels to me more like a Greek tragedy.

  Somebody let Tarantino know that there is SOME connection between his violent movies and people actions.  Also, love how he slipped the porn stars in with the actresses in his list of beautiful people.  He even has something to say to the cyclists!  This guy is pure BB troll bait!

  It seemed to me that a full half of his manifesto was him saying things like this, because it’s his last chance. You don’t have to look hard to see that he’s expecting to die.
