The kid was great! IANAM, but i think meteorologists do a full day's work beforehand, putting together the maps, temperature predictions, and what not for the show. There's not one set of data but a bunch, and they have put it all together to create the forecast. That's why different outlets can have different outlooks, because different people are involved.
