Olly Moss's new personal tableware remixes the classic Willow Pattern with a video-game motif. I'm assuming it's a shoop, or at least not available in the stream of commerce, which is a durned shame.

I had some downtime so I decided to make myself a new set of dinnerware based on The Willow Pattern. (via Neatorama)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

    Whoa. Want.

It would probably sell well if it was a paper plate.

Why is this not a thing? This should be a thing.

    This must be made real.

Edit: This is embarrassingly similar to the comment above it.

He’s already confirmed on Twitter that they were just a personal thing and won’t be licensed/produced. He actually tried to get Zazzle to print a few for himself but they refused to due to copyright.

I’m sure the Homer Laughlin China company could do something like that.  I’m not sure they do one off designs in low volumes for individual customers, but I know bulk orders are typically possible.

  • Eark_the_Bunny

Someone should bring this out as a paper plate.  I would bet that this would sell good.
