"One step onto the pocked section [of the golf course] and the 43-year-old mortgage broker plunged into a sinkhole." He survived.

(Thanks, Matthew!)

Hackers prepare for first "national holiday" in their honor

    That’s a hole under one.

All brokers should get a chance to experience this!

    • Donald Petersen

Hell, most golfers oughta give it a whirl.

Headline: “Mortgage Broker Experiences Real-World Analogy, Unchanged”

There is now a bill being rushed through the house to fill the hole with taxpayer money, so the mortgage broker has something to stand on so he can easily step out of the hole. Congressmen are heard saying, “The broker is too big to climb his own way out of the hole. Without the banks, who else will foreclose on the taxpayers of america?”

  • matlockexpressway

    From the article:

“Mihal said it was a real downer on what had been a fine outing.”

  • Antinous / Moderator

Annbriar general manager Russ Nobbe described the sinkhole as “an extremely unfortunate event, an event we feel is an act of nature.”  “We don’t feel there is any way we could have foreseen this happening,” he told a Tuesday news conference.

    Translation:  DO NOT WANT LAWSUIT!

    • toobigtofail

“Every geologist we’ve talked to says it is unreasonable and unnecessary” to survey the entire grounds for other sinkhole threats, he added.

      • Petzl

“This kind of unusual event can only happen once. It is beyond belief to imagine it happening a second time. Lightning itself never strikes the same place twice.”

        • toyg

“Statistically speaking, we’re now the safest golf course EVER!”

      • toyg

I love language: “every geologist” could easily be one random guy with a (possibly monetary) interest in the golf course.

Specifically they would ask several geologists and report the findings of the ones they agree with. Just like in politics.

i.e. Don’t hear what you want to hear from one expert? Then find another expert.

             Experts agree!

“If I wanted your opinion I’d give it to you.”

    • toyg

I bet he’s gone over his insurance papers first. “Let’s see… we’re covered for people attacking other people with golf bats, caddy-related accidents, bad food from the restaurant… nothing about sinkholes, damn! Hey, what do insurance people say when they don’t wanna pay? Act of nature, right?”

  • MikeKStar

What do you call a mortgage broker at the bottom of a hole?

    A good start.

    • FrakSnark

       A-hole in one.

Oh, come on! If countless Saturday afternoons watching bad horror movies have taught me anything, the being they pulled out of that hole is a C.H.U.D. who assumed that poor golfer’s form.

His wife will be the first to know . . .

  • BarBarSeven

Why don’t some of those libtard, fat cat, know-nothings in Washington do something about this sinkhole menace!

    • http://daruiburns.tumblr.com/ Dlo Burns

If we elected Romney this never would of happened.

        THANKS OBAMA!

Authorities have since released this photo of the chief suspect.

it’s like the ground is becoming increasingly like the surface of a glacier — complete with fissures and death holes. i’d say the fact that God likes to do this to golf courses tells us something about His priorities for those in his run-away creation.

“Now you’re gonna die wearing that stupid hat.”

  • toobigtofail

The jokes really do write themselves today…

    A mortgage broker and a real-estate agent go golfing…

    • peregrinus

… and meet a cardinal with a box of matches and some strange colored paper.

  • David Kopelman

But did they refund his greens fee?

    • Jamie Norwood

No, they charged him for the divet since he didn’t replace it.

  • KevinRaposo

Talk about a hole in one huh?

  • http://daruiburns.tumblr.com/ Dlo Burns

I saw the video elsewhere but I love how the wife described it as being like Space Jam.
