While Image of the Beast stands up to the test of time, sadly, it's successor, Blown, does not. Image of the Beast was fantastic when I read it when it first came out and I, unfortunately, never became aware of Blown until within the last five years or so. Blown pretty much ignores everything that happened in the first novel by saying, in essence, "It was all a dream." or words to that effect and the story fails at that point.

I was surprised to see Image referenced as I just finished re-re-re-re-reading it yet again yesterday! STILL a great read!
