		<description>I spent a couple of summers on a Polish fish processing ship collecting biological samples.  Lots and lots of cabbage.  Every possible way to prepare cabbage.  Also not one woman and &gt;80 men on a ship makes for some heavy drinking, though I was a lightweight compared to some of the men who&#039;d been working the ships for decades.

That said, boredom was an issue.  I had a quota of data samples each day to collect, which in total took about an hour.  Out of boredom I ended up collecting about 5 times as much.  I also reached my absolute peak chess playing skill by having daily games against the 2nd engineer - who crushed me utterly about 98 times until I finally won a game.  Good times, good times.</description>
