Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi "faced the wrath of hundreds of villagers on Thursday" in Myanmar, reports Reuters. They are angry over her defense of "an independent report that backed expansion of a copper mine they say was built on illegally seized land." [Reuters]

Suu Kyi is experiencing what Hillary warned her about, the difference between being a persecuted, pro-democracy rallying figure and being an elected official. One can do no wrong, the other can do nothing right.

And thus does the sellout begin and Suu Kyi begin making her transition from persecuted pro democracy rallying figure into Hillary Clinton, a warmongering, neoliberal defender of the rights of billionaires to rape and pillage the planet and exploit its people until every last ounce of natural resources have been consumed.

It’s not surspring.  After all Hillary was once a flower child herself, don’t you know.
