ADVERTISE AT BOING BOING!
Always picked his holiness as a D.C. type anyhow. Except maybe the part where Superman comes back to life. Well the whole idea of a super man. And violence in comic books. Oh, and the whole idea of lower-class kids learning to read.
Superman was a Methodist. I think Marvel may have more Catholic superheroes overall—Nightcrawler even went into the priesthood.
News flash: Batman became more bitter and vengeful 40 years ago.
They work in geologic time, 40 years is like 5 minutes ago to the Church.
What color of smoke do you think they had to use to come to that concensus?
That explains the internal memo from the new Pope:
MORE TWEETS ABOUT BATMAN.
I agree with the pope on something!
Um, Batman is vengeance. How many times do they need to see the alley and graveyard scenes before the Vatican gets this?
I thought he was the night?
Well, at least he didn’t become a child molester. Perhaps before criticizing fictional characters, the Vatican should get a handle on its own actual villains. I see an opportunity for DC to add to Batman’s cadre of foes.
Well, at least he didn’t become a child molester.
Then explain why he keeps a boy in a cave. A boy who isn’t wearing any pants, I might add.
Drew Carey show: Lewis:” Batman’s car has a morals clause? He kept a young boy in a cave!”

Here’s a link to the article in question.
In fairness, the Pope might have been reading the most recent story arc, in which case Batman did suffer a fairly significant loss.
