On August 9-11, San Francisco's Golden Gate Park erupts with the Outside Lands music festival, featuring more than 75 performances by an insanely-eclectic lineup of artists. This year's headliners are Paul McCartney, Nine Inch Nails, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'm most excited to see The Head and the Heart, The National, D'Angelo, and Thao & The Get Down Stay Down (video above)!
Want to attend? Our friends at Outside Lands provided us with a pair of 3-Day VIP tickets, a $1090 value, to give away! Two runners-up will receive Boing Boing t-shirts! Here's how to win:
1. Come up with one Tweetable haiku (5/7/5) about why you want to attend Outside Lands! (Single Tweet only.)
2. Tweet your haiku before 11:59pm, Sunday, July 14, @boingboing and @sfoutsidelands.
3. Wait patiently until Monday when we will announce the winner and runners-up here and on Twitter!

It’s a job that pays handsomely…mostly because few job candidates, even experienced IT professionals, have the skills to scamper over firewalls and infiltrate the deepest recesses of a battle-tested network. But […]
Why buy one of those expensive and confusing universal remotes, clogged with enough buttons to launch a space shuttle, when you could accomplish the same electronic control right on your favorite mobile device? The Blumoo Universal Remote, now just $52.99 in the Boing Boing Store, harnesses the audio power of all your household equipment right […]
You may not love Microsoft Word, but you’ve definitely used it. Other than being one of the most ubiquitous programs on the planet, it’s been the go-to word processing system for more than a quarter-century because it’s as basic as it gets. But occasionally, you’ve got assignments that beg for a lot more options than simple […]
