On August 9-11, San Francisco's Golden Gate Park erupts with the Outside Lands music festival, featuring more than 75 performances by an insanely-eclectic lineup of artists. This year's headliners are Paul McCartney, Nine Inch Nails, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'm most excited to see The Head and the Heart, The National, D'Angelo, and Thao & The Get Down Stay Down (video above)!
Want to attend? Our friends at Outside Lands provided us with a pair of 3-Day VIP tickets, a $1090 value, to give away! Two runners-up will receive Boing Boing t-shirts! Here's how to win:
1. Come up with one Tweetable haiku (5/7/5) about why you want to attend Outside Lands! (Single Tweet only.)
2. Tweet your haiku before 11:59pm, Sunday, July 14, @boingboing and @sfoutsidelands.
3. Wait patiently until Monday when we will announce the winner and runners-up here and on Twitter!

(These days an original pressing goes for around $75-$100.) To complement Trevor Jones’s synthesizer/orchestra score, Bowie wrote five original songs […]

Judging from the apparent complete infiltration of Russian hackers in American cyberspace, it seems fair to speculate that there’s a major shortage of […]
All moms are different. But all moms like getting flowers on Mother’s Day, and that’s a fact (not, however a fact we can document in any fashion.) Instead of getting chewed out for forgetting to call her on the second Sunday of May, you can take care of it ahead of time with Teleflora’s flower […]
