Snowden said to be in disguise

Edward Snowden, the NSA leaker who is currently a fugitive in Russia, "walks freely in the streets in disguise while in hiding," AFP reports his lawyer as saying, "but his security is under such threat that a visit from his family could lead American agents right to his door." So, he "walks freely around the streets" in low cover.

"He would walk past you and you wouldn't recognize him," said his attorney, Anatoly Kucherena.

Mr. Kucherena says his client has been living under heavy security at an undisclosed location somewhere in Russia and that all contact with him has been going through the lawyer's office.

"I am his only link with the outside world at the moment. Even his contacts with his parents are carried out through me," he said.

That's interesting, and doesn't remind me one bit of a certain dramatic television series protagonist. Read the full report here.
