My 7 year old daughter and I are going prospecting for gold. This handy kit is enough for both of us to settle down by the side of a NorCal stream and try our hands at a '49ers dream.
While a short instructional manual comes in the kit, I ran across Gail Butler's Recreational Gold Prospecting for Fun and Profit, while perusing the used stacks at a local bookshop. It is beyond interesting, I know know how to stake a claim!
