At the end of a week that marked the 70th anniversary of D-Day, Boing Boing reader Joe Gordon shares photos of a wonderful book in his personal collection, in our Boing Boing Flickr Pool.
An old book from my collection, printed in 1946 it collects broadcasts from a number of BBC war correspondents from the monumental acts of D-Day when the Allies fought their way ashore into occupied France to the fall of the Nazis and the liberation of Europe. Its old and battered, but I wouldn't part with it – I have plenty of history books but few like this created right after the events described within it, all first hand accounts.
