Presbyterian church votes to allow same-sex marriage

The Presbyterian Church, a religious body in the USA, has voted 3 to 1 to allow pastors to marry couples of the same gender in states where gay marriage is legal.

By an overwhelming majority to change the wording about marriage in the church's constitution to "two persons" from a "man and a woman," says More Light Presbyterians, a group advocating for LGBTQ rights. The vote happened at an assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Detroit this week.
