$2000 pinned to his coat, musician tries to give away $10 bills to Torontonians

To create a promo video for his song "I Think You're a Salesman", musician Joshua Van Tassel and director Hiep Vu wanted to see how kindness fared in Toronto. So they suited him up in a cheap suit covered in $2000-worth of ten dollar bills, and had him walk around offering people money.

In exchange, they asked only that the recepients–all filmed covertly and watched by hired security guards, just in cast–pass on the goodwill.

"The results were not at all what anyone expected," writes Joshua, whose 2013 album 'Dream Date' was nomiated 'Electronic Album of the Year' at the East Coast Music Awards.

Joshua Van Tassel is a wunderkind producer/composer/multi‐instrumentalist and counts Great Lake Swimmers, Justin Rutledge, Doug Paisley, and David Myles amongst a top-class list of acts he has played with as sideman. His music has been featured on numerous TV shows, has received critical acclaim from the CBC, Toronto Star, NOW Magazine, and Exclaim! amongst others, and his latest album, Dream Date (also available from Dream Datelimitedrun.com amd iTunes), received a nomination for 'Electronic Album of the Year' from the East Coast Music Awards.
