Last night, I read Vicious. This is a fantastic story about college age relationships and how the addition of super powers really doesn't help.
Victor is a nice enough guy but seems pretty jealous of his college roommate, Eli. Eli has good looks, intelligence and got the girl Victor was too shy to make a move on. When Eli 'invents' the premise behind the movie Flatliners, it doesn't take Victor long to convince Eli they should both die and return, with a random super power! Accidents and immature world views collide, leading the two to an epic showdown.
Schwab does a wonderful job of building characters you care about and really filling them out with little background or exposition. Vicious is certainly worth the read!
